Karen Freeman, a 30‑year Manning Valley resident and parent/grandparent, blends paid and volunteer roles to champion intergenerational support. She sees First Steps Count as a safe, inclusive hub whose success is measured by financial stability, strong governance and the genuine wellbeing of families it serves.
Deb Tuckerman
Deb Tuckerman is the previous Economic Development Manager for MidCoast Council. She now works in hospitality and disability services while volunteering with surf‑life‑saving and Landcare. She is passionate about strong regional economies and thriving children.
David Harvey
David Harvey, ex‑naval officer and director now farming near Taree since 2007, champions First Steps Count as a chance for Midcoast children to begin life with hope. He envisions families smiling, staying curious and looking forward with kindness.
