What’s your connection to the MidCoast / Taree?
My working life has been across government, corporate and consultancy settings as a specialist in communication and engagement. A move to the Mid-North Coast several years ago has enabled me to begin giving back to the community. Through this Board role, I look forward to helping create connections with those local families who need a hand-up in our community that can lead to self-dependency.
What does First Steps Count mean to you?
First Steps Count is the ideal vehicle for applying my experience in creating authentic, inclusive processes that draw on local knowledge and insight. It allows me to help shape a unique, community‑focused hub that truly serves Taree children and families.
What does success look like for you here at First Steps Count?
Success is seeing the Board’s inclusive, evidence‑based processes translate into real growth for the Centre – families feeling welcomed and supported, local insights informing service design, and the hub becoming a trusted, thriving resource for the community.
