The freedom to play in a safe, secure adventure space.
Our play spaces are the heart of First Steps Count — places where children can explore, imagine, connect and grow.
Designed to feel safe, natural and full of possibility, they invite families to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy being together. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, there’s always something new to discover.
A Space Designed for Childhood
Purposefully located in the Manning Gardens neighbourhood — just steps from homes, schools, and daycare — our Centre was built with community accessibility in mind. The spaces bring the outdoors in and encourage open-ended play in every direction.
Explore Our Play Spaces:
Outdoor Nature Play
A fully fenced garden and nature-based area where kids can dig, build, explore and create — with mud kitchens, logs, sand, native planting and bush tucker.
Undercover Outdoor Area
A flexible, weather-protected space perfect for outdoor craft, movement, messy play or simply sheltering in the shade while still enjoying the fresh air.
Indoor Playroom
A cosy space set up with imaginative play stations, age-appropriate resources, books, puzzles and plenty of soft corners for quieter moments and connection.
A Place to Grow, Together
Play is where learning begins — but it’s also where relationships start.
At First Steps Count, every play space is a chance to feel part of something bigger. Whether you stay for ten minutes or two hours, you belong here.
